ABOUT Alexander Bone

Alexander Bone is a saxophonist, producer, and composer based in London. Blending electronic music and jazz with a whimsical pop sensibility, Alexander's sound strikes a delicate balance between the electronic and the organic, the danceable and the downtempo.

Whilst in his teens in the North of England, he was crowned the first ever winner of the BBC Young Musician - Jazz award, before being publicly voted the winner of the British Jazz Awards "Rising Star." In 2019, he was awarded the Kenny Wheeler Prize from the Royal Academy of Music upon graduating with a first class honors.

Alexander leads his own bands, playing original music at venues and festivals across the UK and Europe, including London Jazz Festival, Jazzwise Festival, and Manchester Jazz Festival. European tours have included dates in Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Germany.

Alongside his own projects, he has performed live and worked in the studio with internationally acclaimed names in jazz and pop including Gwilym Simcock, Nile Rodgers, Cory Wong, Rudimental, Iain Ballamy, Kylie Minogue, Gary Barlow, Liane Carroll, Nikki Iles, David Newton and the late Peter King.

As a concert soloist, he has performed twice on the BBC. As an electronic music producer, Alexander has had remixes released on labels including Parlophone Records and Spinnin' Records, under various pseudonyms.
